Casa Modica San Giorgio
Casa Modica San Giorgio, a wonderful villa in Sicily.
Right in the beautiful historic centre of the baroque city of Modica, one of the most wonderful towns of the UNESCO World Heritage area of the Noto valley, lies this lovely Eighteenth-Century house made of stone, just like all the most refined ancient houses of this area – the typical black stone of Modica, which gives both to inside and outside spaces a very peculiar look. Inside, the restoration has been great and preserved carefully the typical traits of the ancient mansion: vaults, arches, stone walls and a stone staircase that leads to a wide panoramic terrace. From here, the sight is really extraordinary: guests will have the chance to stare at the astonishing San Giorgio Cathedral surrounded by the picturesque, elegant city centre. An overview of an ancient city that still preserves its most enchanting and charming traits, which made it a UNESCO heritage site.
The villa is equipped with two double bedrooms and an additional single bed, two bathrooms and an equipped kitchenette. Furniture is refined and antique, and there is air conditioning as well as TV and HI-FI.
